Bad news: The Vermont Summer Festival has been cancelled due to state quarantine regulations. Good news: The show has teamed up with HITS for a blended competition series this summer in Saugerties! It's being called the Great American Summer Series, and--pending approval from USEF and subject to COVID safety regulations--will run for six weeks starting July 1. Each week will feature a $100K-$200K Grand Prix as well as a full card of hunters, jumpers and derbies. The official prize list has not yet been released, but is forthcoming when final approval is confirmed. Fingers crossed for this much-needed feature on the summer show schedule.
