Our kids half chaps are perfect for the entry level rider.  For a functional, easy to clean half chaps, try the Ariat Kids All Around II.  It comes with elastic to fit your child as he or she grows, and it comes in both black and brown suede.  We suggest that you pair the kid’s chaps with Ariat paddock boots  which is also fashioned in black and brown.
